Nutrition & Senior Center Services

Pierce County Senior services is a non-profit organization designed to serve people throughout Pierce County 60 + years of age.

 

Center Activities-

The center offers seniors a variety of recreational and educational activities, arts, crafts, games, trips, outings, workshops, health screening, exercise, hot food, and the opportunity to fellowship with their peers. Activities and events are scheduled on a monthly calendar, which is available at the center.

 

Home Delivered Meals-

Provides a hot, noon day meal delivered to the home a minimum of 5 days a week to seniors with functional limitations and nutritional needs.

 

Congregate Meals-

Meals available to senior citizens 60 years or older.  A noon meal is provided in a group setting 5 days per week. Monday through Friday. Nutrition Education sessions are also available to promote better nutritional habits and meal planning. As well as a variety of programs and services as a focal point for aging services in the community. Transportation to and from the senior center is arranged through the Department of Human Resources’ Coordinated Transportation Program.
