Our office is open to the public from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  We currently manage the information for the 11,510 plus parcels of real property and 1,414 personal property accounts in Pierce County.

Appointed for fixed terms by the County Commission, the Board of Assessors is responsible for determining taxability; the appraisal, assessment, and the equalization of all assessments within the county, They notify taxpayers when changes are made to the value of the property; they receive and review all appeals filled; and they insure that the appeal process proceeds properly. In addition, they approve all exemptions claimed by the taxpayer.
