NOTICE TO PIERCE COUNTY TAXPAYERS
The Pierce County Board of Assessor’s Office is conducting a county-wide revaluation of all Residential and Agricultural buildings in Pierce County. This will include all buildings in Pierce County. The revaluation will be done by Technical Appraisal Services of Georgia. Appraisers from Technical Appraisal Services will be visiting each property in the county and cities beginning September 2011 and ending May 2012. Appraisers will ask questions about the buildings, check measurements of the buildings, and take pictures of the buildings. The appraisers will have photo identification as well as signs on their vehicles. The sheriff’s office as well as the police department will have vehicle description and tag number of all personnel involved in this revaluation. We ask that you please be cooperative and understanding as this function is imperative to insure the tax payers are being assessed in a fair and equitable manner.
